Bay Area Music Lovers Left Heartbroken: Live 105's Not So Silent Night Drops the Mic on 2025

Live 105's BFD 2010

Sorry, music fans – looks like 2025 just got a whole lot quieter. Live 105’s legendary Not So Silent Night concert has officially been canceled, leaving alternative rock enthusiasts in the Bay Area with nothing but silence and broken dreams.

The highly anticipated show was set to feature an epic lineup including Sublime, Evanescence, Wet Leg, The Paradox, and Yellowcard at the SAP Center in San Jose on December 14th. But in a twist that feels all too familiar for Bay Area music lovers, the station dropped the news on their Facebook page with a vague and heartbreaking announcement.

A Trip Down Memory Lane

For those who don’t know, Not So Silent Night isn’t just another concert – it’s a Bay Area institution. Over the years, this show has hosted some of the most iconic bands in alternative music, from Lorde and Radiohead to Linkin Park and The Killers. The last memorable event in 2017 was a two-night extravaganza that basically defined millennial music nostalgia.

The Station’s Rocky Journey

Live 105’s journey has been more complicated than a relationship status on Facebook. From rebranding to Alt 105.3, then briefly becoming 105.3 Dave FM (yes, really), the station has now returned to its alt-rock roots. The cancellation of Not So Silent Night feels like another speed bump in their comeback story.

What Now?

Fans are being directed to Ticketmaster for refund information, and the station cryptically suggests waiting until 2026 for potential redemption. Until then, Bay Area music lovers will just have to stream their favorite bands and dream about what could have been.

In true Bay Area fashion, we’ll keep our fingers crossed and our playlists ready.
