Bay Area Airports Shade Kristi Noem's Political Drama: Here's the Tea

In a deliciously petty move, Bay Area airports are giving the cold shoulder to Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem’s politically charged PSA about the federal government shutdown. 🙅‍♀️

Political Theater at Security Lines

Noem’s video, which attempts to pin the blame squarely on Democrats, isn’t getting any airtime at Oakland or San Jose International Airports. The airports are basically saying, “Not today, political propaganda!”

Corporate Sass Takes Center Stage

San Jose Mineta International Airport dropped some serious shade, stating they’re “continuing without disruption” and don’t need additional messaging. Oakland International was equally unimpressed, declining to run the video and keeping things professional.

Coast-to-Coast Rebellion

This isn’t just a Bay Area rebellion. Airports in Portland, Cleveland, Los Angeles, Phoenix, and Seattle-Tacoma are also giving Noem’s video the side-eye. Some, like Portland, are even citing the Hatch Act - a law restricting political activities by federal employees - as their reason for refusing.

In Noem’s video, she claims Democrats are blocking government funding, causing operational impacts and forcing TSA employees to work without pay. But these airports are making it clear: we’re not here for your political finger-pointing.

Stay sassy, Bay Area. ✌️
