Get ready for a culinary and spirits revolution in the heart of San Francisco! Basketball legend Stephen Curry and celebrity chef Michael Mina are joining forces to transform Union Square into their personal playground of gastronomy and booze.
A Tale of Two Talents
Curry, known for his killer three-pointers, is now aiming his precision at the world of bourbon with his brand Gentleman’s Cut. Meanwhile, Mina, a culinary maestro with 25 restaurants worldwide, is returning to the iconic Westin St. Francis where his career first took flight.
Bourbon, Burgers, and Big Dreams
This fall, they’re launching an epic duo of venues: Bourbon Steak and The Eighth Rule. Curry’s not just throwing basketballs anymore - he’s mixing cocktails and creating a “little haven to bring people together,” proving that his entrepreneurial skills are just as sharp as his jump shot.
The restaurant will employ around 150 people and sits next to a 40-seat bourbon bar that promises to be the hottest hangout in town. It’s like Silicon Valley networking meets gourmet dining, with a whiskey-soaked twist.
More Than Just a Business Venture
This isn’t their first rodeo together. Mina previously partnered with Ayesha Curry on International Smoke, making this new collaboration feel like a natural progression of their culinary friendship.
As Mina puts it, this isn’t just another restaurant - it’s “one of the most beautiful restaurants” he’s ever built. And with Curry’s star power, we’re betting it’ll be packed faster than you can say “slam dunk”.
