San Francisco Lawyer Gets EPIC Takedown for Scamming Elderly Client

Lady Justice background.

Justice just got served, Bay Area style. 🔨

In a plot twist that sounds like a legal drama gone wrong, San Francisco attorney Drexel Andrew Bradshaw has been permanently booted from practicing law after a scandalous scheme involving an elderly client’s trust. The California Supreme Court didn’t just show him the door – they slammed it shut with a scathing rebuke that basically said, “Boy, bye”.

A Trust Destroyed

Bradshaw’s legal career went up in flames after he was caught with his hand deep in his client’s financial cookie jar. He created a construction company, billed the trust a whopping $150,000 without competitive bidding, and even took out multiple reverse mortgages on the client’s home. Talk about a trust violation that makes your skin crawl.

The Supreme Court’s Mic Drop

Justice Goodwin Liu didn’t mince words, essentially declaring Bradshaw unfit to practice law. The Court’s opinion was less a legal document and more a professional execution, highlighting his “repeated failure to uphold the most basic duties of an attorney”.

A Cautionary Tale

The State Bar’s Chief Trial Counsel George Cardona emphasized the profound breach of trust, pointing out how Bradshaw attempted to enrich himself at the expense of a vulnerable elderly victim. His disbarment, effective August 2nd, serves as a stark warning to other attorneys who might be tempted to play fast and loose with professional ethics.

In the end, karma came knocking, and Bradshaw’s law license got permanently revoked. Mic drop. 🎤
