The San Francisco 49ers are about to serve some serious football realness this weekend, and quarterback Brock Purdy is back and ready to drop some pigskin magic.

Toe-tal Recovery

After sitting out two games nursing a big toe injury that probably felt like stepping on a LEGO, Purdy’s been cleared to start against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Levi’s Stadium. Coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed the news, giving Bay Area fans a collective sigh of relief.

Backup Hero Mac Jones

While Purdy was sidelined, backup quarterback Mac Jones stepped up like a total champ. In two games, he crushed it with 563 yards, four touchdowns, and only one interception. The 49ers’ passing game was so hot, they’re currently leading the NFL in passing yards with an average of 271.3 yards per game. Talk about a statistical flex.

Game Day Drama

There’s some injury drama brewing on the team. Wide receivers Jauan Jennings and Ricky Pearsall are listed as questionable, with Jennings nursing an ankle sprain and Pearsall dealing with a knee issue. Defensive tackle CJ West and wide receiver Jordan Watkins are officially out, adding more intrigue to Sunday’s matchup.

Get ready, football fans. Purdy’s back, the 49ers are hungry, and the Jaguars better watch out.
