Tech meets nostalgia in the most chaotic way possible at LA Comic Con, where organizers are rolling out an AI-powered hologram of comic book legend Stan Lee. Imagine paying 15 to 20 bucks to chat with a digital version of the Marvel mastermind - sounds like a Black Mirror episode come to life, right?

The Holographic Controversy

Fans are absolutely losing their minds over this AI resurrection, with reactions ranging from “creepy” to “straight-up disrespectful”. The team behind the project swears they’re not trying to “bring Stan back from the dead,” but instead create an interactive Marvel trivia experience that captures Lee’s essence.

Tech Meets Creativity

The hologram was developed using decades of Stan Lee’s content - convention panels, interviews, and archival materials - to create an AI model that supposedly speaks just like the comic book icon. The creators claim they’ve built “content governors” to keep the hologram on track, ensuring it won’t go rogue and start pontificating about random topics.

The Fan Verdict

While the organizers are hopeful, the internet is skeptical. Will fans embrace this digital doppelgänger or reject it as a ghoulish tech experiment? Only time (and Comic Con attendees) will tell. One thing’s certain: Stan Lee would probably have something hilariously meta to say about all of this.

Excelsior, indeed.
