Silicon Valley's AI Overlords Want to Fire Your Government Worker Friends

Tech bros are at it again, plotting to replace federal workers with artificial intelligence agents in what might be the most dystopian job market makeover yet.

The DOGE Dilemma

Anthony Jancso, a former Palantir employee and cofounder of AccelerateX, is recruiting technologists for a project that sounds like a government worker’s worst nightmare. His grand plan? Deploy AI agents to automate approximately 300 roles, potentially displacing around 70,000 federal employees.

The Tech Bro Takeover

Jancso and his team claim they’re “freeing up” employees for “higher-impact work,” but let’s be real - this looks more like a techno-capitalist scheme to slash government jobs. His Slack announcement wasn’t exactly met with applause; instead, he was bombarded with clown emojis and comments calling out the potential fascist undertones of mass AI replacement.

The AI Reality Check

Experts are skeptical about this grand automation plan. Oren Etzioni, an AI startup cofounder, bluntly states that AI agents aren’t reliable enough to replace entire human workforces. “We want our government to be reliable, not an experimental playground,” he argues. The dream of AI replacing 70,000 workers? Pure fantasy, according to Etzioni.

In the end, this looks like another Silicon Valley power play dressed up as “efficiency” - because apparently, job security is so last decade.
