Jewish Cuisine Got a Glow-Up and We're Here for It

Marani Glatt Kosher Restaurant 03

Listen up, food lovers and culture enthusiasts – the Bay Area’s culinary scene just got a seriously delicious upgrade.

David Nayfeld, the chef behind the renowned Che Fico, is serving up a cultural food revolution with Bubbelah, his new Jewish diaspora deli and restaurant in Menlo Park. This isn’t your grandma’s traditional Jewish deli (though we love her cooking too).

More Than Just Matzo Balls

Nayfeld, whose parents fled Belarus and lived in Italy, is on a mission to showcase the incredible diversity of Jewish cuisine. “We’re proud of our heritage,” he declares, and honestly, we’re proud to be eating it. The menu is a mouthwatering journey through Mediterranean Jewish culinary traditions that goes way beyond the stereotypical dishes.

A Flavor Explosion

Want a taste of what’s cooking? Imagine Khachapuri stuffed with feta and mozzarella, veal pelmeni dumplings that’ll make your taste buds dance, and shawarma that could rival any street food in the Middle East. The menu is a love letter to Jewish culinary diversity, featuring everything from Chicken Schnitzel to Turkish Tomato soup.

Sweet Endings

And because no meal is complete without dessert, Bubbelah’s gelato window is serving up flavors that’ll make you forget all about basic ice cream. Hazelnut-brownie, vanilla-plum, and salted caramel? Yes, please.

Open Tuesday through Sunday in Menlo Park, Bubbelah isn’t just a restaurant – it’s a cultural experience served on a plate. Come hungry, leave enlightened.
