Tartine's Shady Investor Caught in Elon Musk's Wild Hollywood Drive-In Drama

Tesla 3D Icon Concept in Dark Mode. It is for you, Elon and fans 🖤

Just when you thought the tech world couldn’t get any more chaotic, a Tartine Bakery investor has been caught red-handed collaborating with everyone’s favorite controversial billionaire, Elon Musk.

The Hollywood Spectacle

Bill Chait, a restaurant mogul with ties to Tartine, is apparently partnering with Musk on a “retro-futuristic” Tesla-branded diner and drive-in theater in Hollywood. Because apparently, Musk hasn’t caused enough drama in the tech world, now he’s setting his sights on the culinary scene.

Silicon Valley’s Messy Entanglements

The project, potentially named “Milliways” (yes, really), is reportedly progressing rapidly, with construction already underway on Santa Monica Boulevard. Adding to the spice, chef Eric Greenspan from Food Network is also joining this questionable venture. Chait, who was previously a Tartine partner, seems to be doing some swift LinkedIn editing to distance himself from potential backlash.

A PR Nightmare Brewing

Tartine’s current CEO, Dar Vasseghi, has already attempted damage control, issuing a statement emphatically declaring that the company has absolutely nothing to do with this project - beyond sharing a first letter with Tesla. Talk about tech world drama that’s more entertaining than a Silicon Valley reality show.
