OMG! Your AT&T Data Just Got Leaked and Things Are Getting Wild 🚨

Tech-savvy Bay Area peeps, prepare for some seriously sketch news about your personal data.

If you’re an AT&T customer, your digital life just got a whole lot more complicated. Hackers have allegedly leaked a massive trove of customer records that would make even the most chill tech bro sweat.

The Dirty Details

Apparently, some cyber criminals called ShinyHunters snagged around 86 million AT&T customer records - and we’re talking the juicy stuff here. We’re talking full names, birthdates, phone numbers, email addresses, and the holy grail of personal info: social security numbers.

The Data Damage

Get this: about 44 million social security numbers are now floating around the dark web like abandoned Bird scooters in the Mission. The data was originally encrypted during a hack on the Snowflake cloud platform, but now it’s been decrypted and released. AT&T’s response? Classic corporate speak about “cybercriminals re-packaging data”.

What Can You Do?

If you’re worried (and you should be), check if your data was exposed through Pentester’s tool at npd.pentester.com. Pro tip: maybe it’s time to embrace that identity protection plan your parents keep nagging you about.

Stay paranoid, Bay Area. Your data might be out there, but your sass is unbreakable. 💁‍♀️🔒
