Picture this: you’re waiting at a crosswalk in the heart of Silicon Valley, just minding your own business, when suddenly the pedestrian button starts spewing out messages from tech’s most notorious billionaires. Welcome to the latest prank that’s turning mundane street crossings into unexpected comedy shows.

Over the weekend, crosswalk buttons in Palo Alto, Menlo Park, and Redwood City became an impromptu comedy stage, with voices mimicking Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk delivering hilariously unhinged messages to unsuspecting pedestrians.

The Zuckerberg Experience

In one particularly dystopian moment, a Zuckerberg-like voice casually informed crosswalk users about AI’s inevitable takeover. “You know, it’s normal to feel uncomfortable or even violated as we forcibly insert AI into every facet of your conscious experience,” the voice chirped, with all the warmth of a corporate algorithm.

Musk’s Cybertruck Comedy Hour

Not to be outdone, the Elon Musk impersonation went full chaos mode. “Hi, this is Elon Musk. Welcome to Palo Alto the home of Tesla engineering,” the voice proclaimed, before diving into a bizarre monologue about money, happiness, and the absolute coolness of being a cybertruck owner.

City officials quickly disabled the audible features after discovering the hack, which affected about 12 intersections in downtown Palo Alto. While the technical details remain murky, one thing is crystal clear: Silicon Valley just turned pedestrian crossings into its latest meme generator.

Remember, folks: in the land of tech giants, even a simple crosswalk can become performance art.
